Advisor Innovation Lab is the operating name of 2426456 Ontario Inc., a Canadian company. We build meeting intelligence for wealth management firms across North America. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means 2426456 Ontario Inc. For privacy laws that use the term, including the GDPR and the UK GDPR, we are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
2426456 Ontario Inc.This policy covers this website and the forms on it. Our podcast and newsletter, Advising Humans, has its own site with its own privacy policy and terms. How client information is handled in early access is described on the Trust page and set out in the early access agreement.
What you send us. When you use the contact form or the early access request, we receive what you type: your name, work email, firm, role, and your message or answers. We ask you not to include information that identifies a client, and not to send sensitive personal information through the forms unless it is truly necessary.
What the site records on its own. This site sets no analytics cookies and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser and device information, the pages requested, the referring site, the time of the request, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. Those logs exist for security and operations and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
Fonts. The site's typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser requests the font files from Google's servers when a page loads. Google's own privacy policy covers those requests.
We use what you send us to reply, to prepare for a conversation with you, and, if your firm joins early access, to run it. We also use the technical information above to keep the site working and secure. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal bases we rely on are your consent (when you send us a form), our legitimate interests (running and securing the site, and answering the people who write to us), and legal obligation (when the law requires us to keep or disclose something). Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it at any time.
A small number of service providers process information for us. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.
Other situations. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to a legal request, or to protect the site, our rights, or someone's safety. If the company is ever merged, acquired, or restructured, personal information may transfer as part of that, with the protections the law requires.
Where it goes. We are in Canada, and some of the providers above process information in the United States or other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and your information leaves those regions, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
Early access involves information about a firm's clients. That information is governed by the early access agreement with the firm, not by this page. In short: identifying details are removed before any analysis, briefs are produced for advisors and are never delivered to clients, and each brief is built in its own separate workspace. The Trust page describes each step and what is still being developed.
Messages and applications stay in our email for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, for a reasonable period afterwards in case the conversation resumes, and for as long as legal, tax, or accounting obligations require. If you would like something deleted sooner, ask and we will do it where the law allows.
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, withdraw consent, ask for a copy of your information in a portable form, and complain to your data protection authority. Write to us through the contact page or at privacy@advisorinnovationlab.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, and we will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and we extend the same courtesies to visitors from the United States and elsewhere.
We link to research, studies, and other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. It is worth reading their policies before you share anything with them.
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to our email, and we use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect what we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we ask again that you keep client-identifying details out of the website forms.
This site is for wealth management professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date at the top.
Send them through the contact page or to privacy@advisorinnovationlab.com. We would rather answer a privacy question before a conversation than after it.
