This website is published by Advisor Innovation Lab, the operating name of 2426456 Ontario Inc., a Canadian company. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean 2426456 Ontario Inc.
2426456 Ontario Inc.By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Our podcast and newsletter, Advising Humans, has its own site with its own terms and privacy policy.
Use the site for lawful purposes. Please do not interfere with how it runs or with its security, try to reach parts of it or related systems you are not meant to reach, scrape or copy it beyond what these terms allow, send malware, spam, or misleading content through it, or pretend to be someone you are not. We may restrict access if we believe the site is being misused.
The site describes our work and shares research and writing for wealth management firms and advisors. It is meant to support reflection and professional judgment. Nothing on it is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, mental health, or other regulated professional advice, and nothing on it is advice to any client of any firm. You are responsible for how you use what you read here and for getting the right professional advice for your own situation.
AskGraice is an advisor preparation tool. It prepares an advisor for a conversation. It does not make recommendations to clients, does not deliver anything to clients, and does not replace professional judgment. Advisors remain fully responsible for the advice they give and for how they use what we provide.
Using this site, writing to us, or requesting early access does not create an advisor-client, lawyer-client, therapist-client, fiduciary, or any other professional relationship, and does not create a confidential engagement. Early access, and the confidentiality that comes with it, starts when both sides sign the early access agreement.
The households described on this site, including the sample brief, are sample client scenarios built the way a real one would be. They are not real clients, and any resemblance to real people is coincidental.
The early access page describes the program in general terms. They are not an offer. Requesting early access does not create an engagement: we review each request, talk with the firm, and both sides decide. Early access runs under a written agreement that sets out what is shared, how client information is handled, what each side does, and the fees.
When you send something through the site's forms, you confirm that you have the right to share it. Please do not send information that identifies a client through the website, and do not send confidential or sensitive material unless it is truly necessary. If early access needs client information, the early access agreement covers how it is shared. Ideas and suggestions you send about the site or our work are not treated as confidential unless we agree otherwise in writing, and we may use them to improve what we do. What a firm tells us while exploring early access is handled as the privacy policy describes.
The text, figures, sample documents, names, branding, and design of this site belong to 2426456 Ontario Inc. or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to read the site, link to it, use it for your own professional purposes, and quote short passages with clear attribution, as long as you do not imply we endorse you. Please do not republish or redistribute substantial parts of it, make derivative works from it, mirror or frame it on another site, use our name or branding commercially, present our material as your own, or use it to train or support an AI or machine learning system, without asking us first.
We link to research, studies, and other sites we do not control. Those links are provided for reference. We are not responsible for their content, services, or privacy practices, a link is not an endorsement, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
We try to keep the site accurate and available, and we update it as our work changes. We may change, suspend, or remove parts of it at any time. It is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows: we do not promise that it is complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, free of harmful components, or suited to your particular needs. Statistics are attributed to their publishers, and we encourage you to read the source.
To the extent permitted by law, 2426456 Ontario Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from using or being unable to use the site, relying on its content, errors or omissions in it, interruptions or technical failures, or third-party links and tools. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site or these terms will not exceed CAD $100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. An early access agreement has its own terms, which govern early access.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 2426456 Ontario Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of someone else's rights.
How we handle personal information is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes about the site or these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If these terms change, the new version will appear here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
